The Wise Neosco Explosive Detector utilizes advanced Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS)—the gold standard in global aviation and counter-terrorism security. Unlike traditional methods that require large bulk samples, our technology operates on the “trace” principle. When explosives are handled, microscopic particles (vapors or residues) adhere to surfaces. Our device draws these air samples into an internal ionization chamber. Within this chamber, molecules are ionized and accelerated through an electric field.
1. Because different explosive compounds possess unique molecular sizes and shapes, they travel at distinct speeds (mobility).
2. By measuring the precise “time-of-flight” for these ions to reach the sensor, our onboard processor identifies the specific chemical signature against a massive internal library—delivering an accurate result in seconds.
